One of the most popular restaurants of Beaune, book ahead if you wish to eat here as it is very much in demand and only 20 seats available. Great food and wine list and great value. The food is fresh, local ingredients with a Japanese touch. Vegetarians, meat lovers and fish lovers will be all very happy here. Message them via Facebook ( see link above) to secure your booking. The restaurant is open every day from Tuesday to Saturday at diner time only from 6 pm to 12 am, so it is a great place where you can have an early or late dinner. Food is succulent and one can find things like Edamamé ( 3 euros), Karaage ( marinated and grilled chicken, 6 euros), Marinated Tuna ( 19 euros), Grilled Scallops ( 24 euros), Turbot carpaccio ( 15 euros), Grilled Vegetables ( 10 euros), Sweetbreat ( 27 euros), Local Pigeon from Monsieur Sanchez ( 25 euros), Grilled Porc Chops ( 20 euros), cheese and various deserts ( 6-7 euros).

Modern French cuisine with an impressive wine list. Run by Chef Damien Ravion and Sommelier Jeremy Brisset ( both having worked at Bistrot de l’Hôtel ) they open their own restaurant in April 2019. The kitchen is open, there are a few seats at the counter bar. Everything you order will be prepared from scratch in front of you if you seat at the counter bar ( solo travellers tip). Dishes are beautiful and tasty, one can find Bresse chicken on the menu, giant sole fish, côte de veau, côte de boeuf, etc. All food is local from the best farms around the region and if you go early enough to the Beaune markets you can see the chef shopping for fresh herbs. A delicious venue and Highly recommended.

A small restaurant with a great atmosphere. Food is local, organic and simply delicious. One of my favorite restaurants of Beaune. Chef and Owner Martial Blanchon is very skilled and will surprise you with his elegant and balanced dishes. True French cuisine. Reasonably priced. Chef’s menu starts at 55 euros. Book ahead. Outside terrace available.

The chef here is Roland Chanliaud, the skinny guy behind the counter, he has been running a One Michelin Star restaurant for over 20 years, now you can taste his delicious creations in his Gastro-Bar facing the Notre-Dame Church. It is a mix of a restaurant with an amazing wine list displayed by producers. One goes here for a drink and a bite. You can pick various appetizers ( selection of charcuteries 8-24 euros, toasts with houmous, boudin, sardines, smoked salmon 8-10 euros), delicious entrées ( duck terrine 11 euros, escargot with wild garlic 12 euros, Vichyssoise of green peas with Patanegra 13 euros, Tartare de Boeuf with oysters 15 euros), juicy mains ( Duck, Salmon, Risotto 22-24 euros), cheese selection and deserts 8-10 euros. Everything is fresh, local and prepared skilfully. Great atmosphere. Outside terrace available.

Chef Romain Escoffier and his team will welcome you for a food and drink adventure worthwhile. Nice atmosphere and great selection of wines, the food is creative and made from fresh, local and organic seasonal ingredients. True French Bistrot cuisine. Lunch Menus start at 19 euros, Dinner menus start at 29 euros. Outside terrace available.

Chef Marc Gantier and his wife Virginie welcome you with a big smile. The chef run for over 20 years the Caveau de Arches Restaurant in Beaune. At the Bistrot des Cocottes, he Food is Classic Bistrot food, delicious, made from scratch with local ingredients. Whenever I crave a steak tartare I come here. Great wine list and beautiful selection of wines by the glass. Good Value for money.

After 30 years, the Michelin Star Restaurant Le Jardin des Remparts becomes Garum, Table Vivante under the Chef Christophe Bocquillon. After having run the Michelin Star Restaurant for 8 years, he decided that he needed more freedom for his creativity. Garum is a Chic Bistrot, where you can have a glass of wine while enjoying tasty appetizers or pick your own menu à la carte. The setting is gorgeous, outside lush garden and beautiful bourgeois building. Menus start at 45 euros. I tried it recently and enjoyed it very much sitting in the garden, sharing a few appetizers with my husband and a great bottle of wine. The Wine List has great selection of Burgundy Wines to pick from.

Elegant and classy food is served here under the supervision of chef and owner Johan Björklund. The Bresse Chicken carved at the table is delicious and the wine list is impressive. The service is professional and friendly.

Open only 4 days a week, Pierre Escoffier’s famous French Bistrot is a hard one to get in if you did not make a reservation. Ma Cuisine enjoys a reputation for well prepared regional food and an impressive varied wine cellar. The restaurant attracts the local residents, many of them wine producers. Your old- fashioned meal may begin with a platter of thin-sliced cured ham with parsley, or compote of rabbit with fresh tarragon. Main courses include spit-roasted and deboned pigeon and beef bourguignon with garlic. Desserts are 19th-century French brasserie favourites: thin-sliced apple or pear tart, crème brûlée, almond cake. The setting, a much-renovated 15th-century stable, is appropriately historic. Chef Bruno Monoir that used to own and run Le Benaton 1 Michelin Star Restaurant, opened La Superb in August 2016. It is great food, you can sit at the couter bar and see him cooking fresh produce that he sources like for the Michelin Star Restaurant. Everything looks beautiful and taste great. Very small restaurant, One Michelin Star, hiding lots of good surprises ! Modern cuisine fitting perfectly in this design deco. A very nice wine bar located just outside of the Beaune ring. Nice atmosphere, simple food and great wines that you can also take way. They also sell épicerie produce like quality olive oil, burrata, sardines, rice, vinagars, etc. A great variety of appetizers to share, fresh salads, charcuterie, jambon persillée, croque-monsieur and grilled chicken.

Locals hangout at le Bout du Monde since 1999. Many local figures have owned and developed this wine bar. Famous for the wine list and the great atmosphere, one can have charcuteries and toasts as appetizers. A great stop before heading to Caves Madeleine Restaurant as it is located just in front.
